CV advice for UK consulting applications

Keep it to 1–2 pages with a clean layout and no photo, date of birth or marital status.
Lead with results: each bullet should say what you did and the measurable outcome.
Match the keywords in the job description so applicant-tracking systems can read your CV.
Show client-facing skills: projects, presentations, stakeholder work and teamwork.
Add certifications that fit the role, such as SAP, Oracle, Odoo, cloud or analytics credentials.
Prepare for interviews: practise case and competency questions, and be ready to explain your projects.

About visa sponsorship

  • Most UK sponsored jobs use the Skilled Worker visa. The role, salary level and sponsor licence all matter.
  • A firm being a licensed sponsor does not mean every role is sponsored. Ask recruiters early.
  • Rules and salary thresholds change. Check current requirements on GOV.UK before you apply.
  • Be careful with anyone who asks you to pay for a job or a visa offer.
