About the Role
We are seeking a Head of Production Engineering to lead and optimize pharmaceutical manufacturing operations through robust Oracle-based ERP systems. This role is responsible for aligning production engineering, process optimization, and regulatory compliance with enterprise digital transformation initiatives.
The ideal candidate combines deep pharmaceutical manufacturing expertise, strong leadership, and hands-on experience with Oracle ERP platforms to drive operational excellence, scalability, and compliance in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
Production Engineering & Operations
Lead production engineering strategy across pharmaceutical manufacturing sites.
Optimize production processes to improve efficiency, yield, and cost while ensuring product quality.
Oversee technology transfer, scale-up, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Oracle ERP Leadership
Own and drive the use of Oracle-based ERP systems (e.g., Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Inventory).
Partner with IT and ERP teams to enhance production planning, BOMs, routings, batch records, and shop floor integration.
Ensure data integrity, system validation, and alignment with GMP and regulatory requirements.
Compliance & Quality
Ensure full compliance with GMP, GxP, FDA, EMA, and other global regulatory standards.
Support audits, inspections, and ERP-related validation (CSV).
Embed quality-by-design principles into production engineering workflows.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Lead, mentor, and develop production engineering teams.
Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, and IT.
Act as a key advisor to senior management on manufacturing and ERP-driven transformation.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or production engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience working with Oracle-based ERP systems in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of GMP, validation, and regulatory compliance.
Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and cross-functional projects.
Preferred
Experience with Oracle Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, or MES integrations.
Background in continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma).
Experience supporting ERP implementations or major upgrades in pharma.
